Overview
Font suitcases were the standard font container format in Classic Mac OS, storing multiple font resources (different sizes, styles) together in a resource fork. They could contain bitmap fonts, PostScript outlines, or TrueType fonts.
Modern macOS doesn't use suitcase fonts, having transitioned to standard TTF and OTF formats. Suitcase fonts are primarily encountered when converting legacy Mac fonts.
