Overview
SVG Fonts are a font format defined within the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) specification. Each glyph is defined as an SVG path, allowing fonts to use SVG's full vector graphics capabilities including filters, gradients, and animations.
While SVG fonts were once supported in web browsers (notably Safari and older Chrome), they have been deprecated for web use in favor of WOFF and WOFF2. However, SVG fonts remain useful in design applications and for specific use cases requiring SVG's graphic capabilities.
